How I See It brings that vision to life through a series of abstract collages and photographs, offering a glimpse into the artist’s creative process and the way everyday moments shape her work.
Through a meticulous process of cutting, layering, and reassembling, Jeannie’s compositions explore contrast—between raw and refined, movement and stillness, structure and play. A repeated motif, a grounding line, or a rhythmic pattern serves as an anchor, inviting viewers to find harmony within the seemingly unpredictable.

About the Artist
Jeannie Blackman is a South Dakota-based creative and founder of Blackdot Design + Print. In 2021, seeking a creative practice beyond the screen, she discovered collage and never looked back. Her work has since been featured in Contemporary Collage Magazine and showcased in exhibitions celebrating innovative approaches to mixed media art.
A lifelong learner, Jeannie has studied with leading contemporary collage artists, honing her unique balance of minimalist structure and expressive abstraction. Her practice continues to evolve as she explores new ways to layer, deconstruct, and reimagine the visual language of everyday life.
