The Watercolor Course You've Always Wanted: Guided Lessons for Beginners and Experienced Artists
By Leslie Frontz

Paperback | 192 pages
ISBN: 9780770435295 | Published by Watson-Guptill | August 18, 2015

A practical, down-to-earth guide for anyone ready to level up their watercolor skills, The Watercolor Course You’ve Always Wanted is packed with clear instruction, expert advice, and hands-on demonstrations from acclaimed artist and instructor Leslie Frontz.

Whether you’re just starting out or refining your practice, this book answers the two most common questions watercolor artists ask:
“What am I doing wrong?” and “What should I do instead?”

With lessons designed to help you see like an artist, make confident creative decisions, and troubleshoot your paintings as they develop, this guide bridges the gap between theory and practice—empowering you to create work that’s both expressive and technically strong.

  • Clear, approachable instruction for beginners and beyond
  • In-depth step-by-step demos with visuals
  • Learn how to observe, simplify, and strengthen compositions
  • Master decision-making throughout the painting process
  • From the author of Problem Solving for Oil Painters

Perfect for:
– Self-taught artists and students
– Creative adults returning to painting
– Those feeling stuck or unsure in their watercolor journey
– Fans of practical, results-driven art instruction
